This Blog is for the love of Hope.
Hope is a five month old puppy that was recently rescued from a pet store chain called Pet Habitat.
Pet Habitat had purchased her (and all their other dogs) from a large company in the US called "The Hunte Corporation".
The Hunte Corporation bought her from a dirt shack puppy mill for approx $300-.
Yet we bought her under the premise that she is a certified "purebred" of high standards...certificate and all.
She was discounted for us to $1188-...Because she was "As is"...a damaged dog.
Hope is one of hundreds of puppies that are transported across the continent by the truckload. This Shopping mall pet store is selling each one to the tune of $2600-. But they aren't selling. They are too expensive. Hope was five months old when we rescued her from her cage. She pees when she is touched and she bites uncontrolably simply because she doesn't know any better. She had never been socialized. The puppies never touch each other.
The city pound says that if they were to rescue a dog who had been in a cage for as long as she had been there, sitting in a cage the size of hers, they would put her to down. They call her behavior problems "kennel crazy" If she were to have been adopted by anyone with fragile skin or small children, this beautiful innocent puppy would be a liability.
Hope has now been rescued and is now receiving intensive one on one love and training from a 24/7 American Eskimo trainer.
She is a lucky puppy. But Soooooo many others are not.
When they don't sell.... where do they go?
